4 Things to Know About This Week’s Sale
As August comes to a close this week, Teachers pay Teachers is having a BONUS site-wide sale to kick off the new school year. During the site-wide sale, you can save up to 25% off of resources in participating stores. It says up to 25% because stores can set their discount wherever they would like. If a store is having a 20% off sale, you can save 25% using the promo code. The code gives you the additional 5%. The Savvy School Counselor Store will be discounted by 20%, so as long as you use the code, you will save the entire 25% off. Today, I’ll be sharing 4 things to know about the sale this week.
1 – Sale Details
First, let’s talk about the details for the sale. This week’s sale begins tonight at midnight and runs from August 30-31. As you visit stores on the site, you will know the store is participating in the sale because you will see sales “tags” on each resource listing. You will also see “I am having a Sale!” at the top of the store’s page. After you have added the resources you want to your cart and you are ready to check out, you will want to remember to enter the promo code in the box that says “Use a promo code.” The promo code for this week’s sale is: BTSBONUS22. Remember, this code will only work on August 30-31.
2 – Custom Categories
Custom categories help you find what you are looking for quickly. If you are looking for character education resources, for example, you would look on the left side of the page (on a desktop) at the custom categories list and click on the character education link. This will pull all of the resources that fall under that category for you so you can find what you are looking for more easily. Having a custom categories section is up to each individual store owner. I can tell you that the majority of stores you’ll visit will have them, and they are really helpful when you are trying to narrow your search to find what you are looking for. There are several custom categories in the Savvy School Counselor store. Be sure to check them out!
3 – TpT Credits
Did you know you can earn credits on TpT that will save you money on future purchases? Every time you make a purchase, you have the opportunity to leave a review for the seller. Leaving reviews helps future customers as they are deciding to buy the same resource. Reviews also help the resource creator know if the resource is meeting the needs of his/her customers. Reviews help YOU as well. Every time you leave a review on TpT, you earn credits based on how much you have spent on the site. For example, if you spend $4.00, you will earn 4 credits. Each credit is worth $0.05, so 20 credits will give you a dollar. Also note that TpT does round up so anything over $0.50 becomes one credit. Don’t forget to leave feedback. It’s a win-win.
It’s also important to remember that technical issues are not something the store owner can control. If you ever having issues downloading or printing your purchase, you should contact the TpT helpdesk or your own technical support at your school regarding printing. These issues are out of the sellers’ hands, so please don’t leave a bad review in these cases.
4 – Resources to Check Out
I’ve said before, I really enjoy creating resources for school counselors. I’m currently working on a few things that will list in the coming days and weeks. In the meantime, here are a few resources I think you should check out in my store during the sale:
The Savvy Files Series – This is a series of activities that cover a variety of topics. When put together, they are like a file with tabs at the top. The file option involves some cutting and a little glue to seal the sides of the file. Several of the files also come with a pamphlet for a print-and-go option. The topics include Bullying, Attendance, Middle School Transition, Meet the Counselor, Grief, and more! There are also files focusing on character traits like Respect, Perseverance, Self-Discipline and more! You can check out this FREE Savvy File to get an idea of what the product is like if you don’t already own one of the topics. (The Friendship Files – FREEBIE) There are also two bundles of files: The Savvy Files Bundle and The Character Ed. Files Bundle. There will be more files coming to the series, and I’d love to hear any topics you’d like to see.
Attendance Resources – Even though focusing on attendance is important all year, September is Attendance Awareness Month. Along with the Attendance Files I mentioned before, I have other activities that you can use for small groups or lessons.
Bullying Prevention – October is Bullying Prevention Month. I have several resources including the Bullying Cube Game, Bullying Scoot, and my newest product True, True,…NOT True – Bullying Prevention Edition.
Of course as I wrote about in a previous post, I have several Meet the Counselor resources as well as Monthly Activity Packs for every month of the school year.
I hope everyone enjoys the Bonus Sale this week. Get your wish list ready! I have several things on mine!
